DesBarres Manor Inn received the Cuisine of the Year Award at the 2008 Taste of Nova Scotia Prestige Awards Dinner in Halifax.  Chosen from a list of distinguished restaurants in Nova Scotia, the Cuisine of the Year Prestige Award recognizes the culinary achievements of DesBarres Manor.

Chef Shaun Zwarun accepted the award on behalf of DesBarres Manor Inn at the sold out gala dinner.  “We are grateful to Taste of Nova Scotia for recognizing our restaurant with this award,” stated Chef Zwarun.  “This award is the culmination of many years of hard work and inspiration by our culinary team, management and staff at DesBarres Manor in creating contemporary Canadian cuisine with an East Coast flair.”
